Case Study - Reaching places which are not accessible by public transport

Overview

Our client approached us with a challenge: managing attendance and availability for recurring events. They were relying on pen and paper, supplemented by numerous WhatsApp messages, which made it increasingly difficult to keep track of participants.

We first explored existing solutions in the market. While there were some apps available, they were either too generic (like spreadsheets) or overly complex (such as Google Calendar) for our client’s specific needs.

Recognizing the need for a tailored solution, we developed a custom app. This app enabled our client to create events, send invitations, and monitor attendance and availability, all centered around the concept of groups.

This bespoke solution proved so effective that we eventually open-sourced a more generic version of the app, which is now available as GRUP.
